Steven Schuurman joins as GeoPhy’s new Board Chairman

Delft, The Netherlands, July 4, 2018 — Real estate technology company GeoPhy with offices in Delft, New York, Kaunas and London, today announced Steven Schuurman, co-founder and former CEO of Elastic, has been named chairman of its Board of Directors, effective July 2, 2018.

One of the most successful Dutch serial tech entrepreneurs, Steven previously founded Orange11 and the world’s leading Enterprise Java middleware company, SpringSource — since acquired by VMware (VMW) in 2009 for US$420 million. Steven then moved on to become the co-founder and CEO (2012 – 2017) of Elastic, another Dutch grown unicorn and the company behind the Elastic Stack. There, he helped Elastic raise over US$104 million and positioned it as one of the most popular open source projects on the Web since its launch in 2012.
